David Scruggs began his medical career in the U.S. Navy as a hospital corpsman from 1985 through 1991.

He completed his undergraduate work at the University of West Georgia prior to his acceptance to the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Ga.

David completed the Physician Assistant Program in Allied Health with honor of magna cum laude in 1995.

David joined the Carrollton Orthopaedic Clinic in 1995 and assists the physicians in clinical care, diagnosis, and the treatment of patients.
